Development because they are closed Wednesday mornings. ~Scoles stated that McLaughlin had indicated that the
comment period has already closed on this matter and a letter would likely have little effect.
Scoles noted that Joe Charter, who had spoken before the coUncil last night, had indicated that the County would
have the option of re-opening the record to accept a submission from the council. Stoles stated that he could not
judge whether this was in fact the County's policy.
Scoles suggested that the draft letter before council could be teworked and sent. Reid and Shaw indicated that the
draR letter was acceptable, but they indicated that it should li signed from the Mayor and Council.
Scoles noted that he and McLaughlin had spoken about this matter, and they feel that having this aggregate resource
identified and inventorled is appropriate. Scoles continued tl~t they do feel there is an issue with changing the
zoning, and the council may want to make comment even if the comment period has officially closed.
