AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND ANNEXING
A CONTIGUOUS AREA TO THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON.
(Ashland Hills Annexation No. 3)
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following described real property is
contiguous to the City of Ashland and is located in Jackson
County, Oregon, and is hereby annexed to the City of Ashland;
Tax Lot 500
Beginning at a point on the East line of Government
Lot 10, in Sectidn 11, Township 39 South, Range 1
East of the Willamette Meridian, in Jackson County,
Oregon which point bears North 0°tl' East 708.34 feet
from the Southeast corner of said lot; thence along
said lot line', North 0°11' East, 200.0 feet; thence
South 51°45' East, 171.40 feet; thence South 34°52'
East, 114.42 feet to a point East of the point of
beginning; thence West, 200.0 feet to the point of
beginning.
ALSO INCLUDING:
A right of way or easement of ingress and egress run-
ning from the public road commonly known as Highwmy
to and through the tract in which is contained the
above described real property, and adjacent to the smid
above described real property. Said easement or right
of way shall be nO less than 40.0 feet in width and
shall run in various directions from said Highway 66 to
the various parcels constituting the tract in which the
subject real property is contained. Said easement or
right of way herein granted is not for the exclusive use
and benefit of the Grantees, but is to be used by them
in common with other parties using or owning adjoining
or adjacent parcels of real property in the immediate vic-
inity of the above described parcel and within the tract
containing said described parcel. Said easement or rig}~t
of way shall hereafter be specifically subject to the
reservation of this easement or right of way herein made.
Tax Lot 600
Beginning at a point on the East line of Government Lot 10,
in Section 11, Township 39° South, Range 1 East of the IVil-
lamette Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon, which point bears
North 0°11' East 608.34 feet from the Southeast corner of
said lot, thence North 0°11' East along said lot line 100.0
feet; thence East 200.0 feet; thence South 34° 52' East
121.88 feet; thence West 270~0 feet to the point of beginning.
Together with an casement appurtenant over and across a 40.0
foot roadway running along the East line of the above des-
crihed property as disclosed in easement from Carl F. R',D}~erts,
et ux, to John E. Wigen, recorded May 10, 1972 as Document No.
72-05884, Official Records of Jackson County, Oregon
SECTION 2. The City Recorder, in accord with ORS222.170,
is hereby authorized and directed to make and submit to the
Secretary of State of the State of Oregon, a copy of this Ord-
inance, a copy of the Statement of Consent from the landowners
of the tract annexed, and a copy of the Ordinance dispensing
with ~he election on the proposed annexation; and also the
City Recorder is authorized and directed to submit a copy of
this Ordinance'to the County Assessor and County Surveyor of
Jackson County, Oregon.
The foregoing Ordinance was first read on the ~.X day of
