AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2856 TO SEGREGATE THE RATES OF
TAXATION, TO REDUCE THE YOUTH ACTIVITIES TAX RATE AND THEREFOR THE
TOTAL TAX RATE BY $0.0006 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2856 adopted on June 20, 2000, is amended to read:
That the City Council of the City of Ashland hereby levies the taxes provided for in the adopted
budget in the rate of $3.6242 per thousand for the permanent rate, $1.3800 per thousand for the
Local Option, and $594,000 for the purpose of Bonded Debt.;: These taxes are hereby levied upon
the assessed value for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2000, on all taxable property within the City.
SECTION 2. That the City Council hereby declares that the taxes so levied are applicable to the
following funds:

SECTION 3. Inasmuch as this corrected levy must be immediately filed with the Jackson County
Assessor, it is deemed necessary for the public peace, health, and safety of the citizens of the City
of Ashland that an emergency be declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
