AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE WATER RATES IN THE CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1774. NOW THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The "Water Rate Schedules" marked "Exhibit A", attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby adopted as the water rates for the use and sale of water within and with- out the City of Ashland from the Municipal Water System of Ashland, Oregon. SECTION 2. The rates implemented by this ordinance shall be effective as to meter readings or direct sales made on or after February 9, 1978. SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 1774 which pertains to water rates is hereby repealed. The foregoing Ordinance was duly provided in accordance with Article X, Section 2.(c) of the Ashland City Charter; and was first read by title only at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on the 20th day of December , 1977, and passed to its second re-F~a~ng by title only and duly ADOPTED at a regular meeting on the 3rd day of January, 1978. Domestic Schedule 3 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Irrigation Water Rate Within.the City Limits Effective: Febr~arv~ , 1978 Application: This rate shall apply to all Domestic Irrigation services within the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rates, per month: Service Size Minimum Charge for 2,000 cubic feet or fraction thereof all $3.80 Any amount in excess of the minimum charge shall be calculated at 11~/100 cubic feet Schedule 4 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION TID Irrigation Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective: ?ebruary~ , 1978 Application: This rate shall apply to all TID Irrigation service within the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: a. Unmetered $25.00 per acre, or portion of acre, per yearly irrigation season. b. Metered The rate per month shall be as follows: Service Size Minimum Charge for 4,000 cu. ft. or fraction thereof Ail $3.80 Any amount in excess of the minimum charge shall be calculated 8.5¢/100 cubic feet. Fire Protection Schedule 5 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Service Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective:_1~, 1978 Application: This rate shall apply to all Fire Protection Services wi-~hin the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: Service Size Charge/Month 2 inch or under $1.15 3 inch 1.75 4 inch 2.30 6 inch 3.45 8 inch 4.60 10 inch 5.75 Schedule 6 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Bulk Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective: ~el~-uar~,..~ , 1978 ~pplication: This rate shall apply to all Bulk Water Service within the City Limits as is permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: $30.00 for the first S00 cubic feet. Excess to be cal- culated at the same rate as provided for commercial-industrial water service inside the City Limits. A deposit of $50.00 shall be made as guarantee that City meter, valve, and wrench will be returned in undamaged condition and that water bill has been paid. Schedule 7 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Residential Water Rate Outside the City Limits Effective: Febr~&ry ~ , 1978 Application: This rate shall apply to all Residential services outside of the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Gov- erning Water Service. Rates, per month: Service Size Minimum Charge per 500 cubic feet or fraction therof 5/4' inch $4.40 Any amount in excess of the minimum charge shall be calculated by the following schedule: Next $00 cubic feet of water @19~/100 cu. ft. Next 1,000 cubic feet of water @35¢/100 cu. ft. Next 2,000 cubic feet of water @38¢/100 cu. ft. Excess @33¢/100 cu. ft. Schedule 8 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Commercial Water Rate Outside of City Limits Effective: Febmm~ 9 , 1978 Application: This rate shall apply to all Commercial Services outside of the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: The rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the rate set forth in Schedule 2, "Commercial and Industrial Water Rate Within the City Limits", and shall apply to the minimum charge as well as the block rate. Fire Schedule 9 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Protection Service Water Rate Outside the City Limits Effective: FeBruary 9 , 1978 Application: This rate shall apply to all Fire Protection services and fire hydrant use outside the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: The rate shall be as set forth in Schedule 5, Fire Pro- tection Service Rate Within the City Limits.
