The %~rater Rate Schedules" marked "Exhibit A", attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby adopted as the water rates for the use and sale of water within and wSthout the City of Ashland from the Municipal Water System of Ashland, Oregon. SECTION 2. The rates implemented by this ordinance shall be effect- as to meter readings or direct sales made on or after June 1, 1979. SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 1949 which pertains to water rates is lmreby repealed. SECTION 4. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1676 is hereby amended bi; ~mending Sec-t-iTn 3.1 of the Regulations Governing Water Service by subst- ituting the following language: "At the time of making application for water service, the appli- cant shall pay a $2.50 connect fee; provided, however, the connect fee shall b~ $20.00 for an emergency connection requested to be made during other than regular working hours, or on weekends or Holidays." The foregoing Ordinance was duly provided in accordance with Article X, Sect5on 2.(c) of the Ashland. City Charter; and was first read by title only at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on the 17th day of April, 1979, and PASSED to its second reading by title only and duly ADOPTED at a regular meeting on the 1st day of May, 1979. This rate also includes units initially constructed for individual ownerships (con- dominimns or planned unit developments), or conversions from existing multiple family uses to individual ownerships. Rates, per month: A. Minimum Charge: Service Size Minimum Charge A - 5/4 Inch $4.20 B - 1 " 6.75 C - 1 1/2 " 12.00 D - 2 " 18.00 B. Basic Charge: The basic monthly service charge for all customers shall be $3.00. C. Consumption charge: The charge for all water consumed shall be calculated at 354 per 100 cubic feet of water used. In condominiums or planned unit developments which are master metered, the total water consumed in a billing period shall be apportioned equally among the active accounts during said billing period. D. Booster Pumping Charge A surcharge of $2.50 per month is required for service connections for electric energy where booster pumping is provided by the City. Rate: a. Unmetered $25.00 per acre, or portion of'acre, irrigation season. Metered The rate per month shall be as follows: Service Size per yearly Minimum Charge for 5,000 cu. ft. or fraction thereof ALL $25.00 Any amount in excess of the minimum charge shall be calculated 9~/100 cu. ft. Schedule 4 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Fire Protection Service Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective: ~,z~r~ / _, 1979 Application: This rate shall apply to all Fire Protection Services w~th~n ~h~ City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: Service Size ALL Charge/Month $5.50 In the event that water from a private fire system is used for fire suppression, such water shall not be billed as domestic consumption, but the billing for an average month shall be used in lieu thereof. Schedule 6 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Residential Water Rate Outside the City Limits Effective: ~/~j / , lg79 Application: This rate shall apply to all Residential services outside ~,eg~lat~u~Ls of the City Limits as are p~rmitted under the erning Water Service. Rate: The rate shall be one and one-half (1%) times the rate set ~ in Schedule 1, "Residential Water Rate Within the City Limits", and shall apply to the minimum charge as well as the block rate. Schedule 5 City of Ashland, Oregon h~ATBR AND SEWER DIVISION Bulk Water Rate Within t~e City Limits Effective: ~?~c~_~ / ~ 1979 ~ion~ This rate shall apply to all Bulk Water Service w~---fi-~-i~--~-~ity Limits as is permitted under the Regulations ~rvice. Governing Water ~ ' Rate: $30.00 for the first 500 cubSc feet. Excess to be cal- culated at the same rate as provided for commercial-industrial water service inside the City Limits. A deposit of $75.00 shall be made as guarantee that City meter, valve, and wrench will be returned in undamaged condition and that water bill has been paid. Services Regulations Rate: The rate shall be one and one-half (1%) times the rate set ~i~t~ in Schedule 2, "Commercial and Industrial Water Rate Within the City Limits", and shall apply to the minimum charge as well as the block rate.
