THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHI~d~D DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2020 and Section 14.04.030 of the Ashland Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows: "14.04.030 Water rate schedule adopted. The "Water Rate Schedules marked ~xhi~it A' attached hereto, and on file in the office of the City Recorder, are hereby incorporatad into this Chapter as though fully set forth herein and they set forth the water rates for the use and sale of water within and without the City from the municipal water system." SECTION 2. In order that the rate provisions of the foregoing Ordinance may be effective'with water meter readings taken on or after June 1, 1981, it is hereby declared that an emergency exists, and this Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage. by the Council and approval by the Mayor. Mayor EXHIBIT "A" WATER RATE SCHEDULES CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON Ordinance No. Adopted: Effective: June 1, 1981 Schedule 1 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Residential Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective June 1, 1981 Application: This rate shall apply to all single family residential services within the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. 'This rate also includes units initially constructed for individual ownerships (con- donimiums Or planned unit developments), or conversions from existing multiple family uses to individual ownerships. Rates, per month: A. Minimum Charge: Service Size Minimum Charge A 3/4 I~ch $5.50 B 1 " 9.00 C 1 1/2 " 16.00 D 2 " 24.00 B. Basic Charge: The basic monthly service charge for all customers shall be $5.95. C. Consumption Charge: The charge for all water ·consumed shall be calculated at 46~ per 100 cubic feet of water used. In condominiums or planned unit developments which are master metered, the total water consumed in a billing period shall be apportioned equally among the active accounts during said billing period. D. BoOster Pumping Charge: A surcharge of $2.80 per month is required for service connections for electric energy where booster pumping is provided by the City. SchedUle 2 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Commercial Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective: June 1, 1981 Application: This rate shall apply to ail Commercial and within the City limits as Governing Water Service. Rates, per month: A. Minimum Charge: Service Size Minimum Monthly Charge A - 3/4 inch $6.40 B - 1 " 10.20 C - 1 1/2 " 18.00 D - 2 " 26.50 E - 3 " 46.00 F - 4 " 80.00 G - 6 " 2~0.00 H 8 " 375~00 Where a water service of 4" or larger also serves a private fire protection system, the foregoing minimum charges shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the above. Fire Protection Schedule 4 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Service Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective: June 1, 1981 Application: This rate shall apply to all Fire Protection Services within the City limits as are permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: Service Size Ail Charge/Month $4. s In the event that water from a private fire system is used for fire suppression, such water shall not be billed as domestic consumption, but the billing for an average month shall be used in lieu thereof. Schedule 5 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIV1SION Bulk Water Rate Within the City Limits Effective: June 1, 1981 Application: This rate shall apply to all Bulk Water Service within the City limits as is permitted under the Regulations Governing Water Service. Rate: $35.00 for the first 500 cubic feet. Excess to be cal- culated at the same rate as provided for commercial-industrial water service inside the City limits. A deposit of $100.00 shall be made as guarantee that City meter, valve, and wrench will be returned in undamaged condition and that water bill has been paid. Schedule 6 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Residential Water Rate Outside the City Limits Effective: June 1, 1981 Application: This rate shall apply to all Residential services outside of the City limits as are permitted under the Regulations Govern- ing Water Service. Rate: The rate shall be one and one-half (1%) times the rate set forth in Schedule 1, "Residential Water Rate Within the City Limits", and shall apply to the minimum charge as well as the block rate. Schedule 7 City of Ashland, Oregon WATER AND SEWER DIVISION Commercial Water Rate Outside of City Limits Effective: June 1, 1981 Application: This rate shall apply to all Commercial Services outside of the City Limits as are permitted under the Regulations Gov- erning Water Service. Rate: The rate shall be one and one-half (1½) times the rate set forth in Schedule 2, "Commercial and Industrial Water Rate Within the City Limits", and shall apply to the minimum charge as well as the block rate.
