Box 669 MEDFORD, OREGON 97501 (503) 772-5271 · FAX (503) 772-3520 July 1, 1994 Mr. Brian L. Almquist City Administrator City of Ashland City Hall Ashland, Oregon 97520 Dear Brian: This will confirm our telephone conversation of June 29, 1994 in that we agreed to apply three and one-half percent to the Electrical classifications as of July 1, 1994. This percentage reflects area rates which should apply in the Portland area and meet the requirement outlined in the current Ashland Agreement. In the final analysis, should the Portland area rate outlined in the Agreement swing up or down, the Union and the City agree that the wages for the Electric Department will be adjusted to reflect the actual rates to be paid. We will be preparing the amendment to the Agreement and will forward a copy for your approval. Also, I will call you within the next few weeks to review Medicbeck and continue our earlier discussions of this spring regarding contract term. Thank you. Yours truly, LOCAL UNION NO. 659, I.B.E.W.
