HomeMy WebLinkAbout1994-063 Agrmt - History MuseumNATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM VISITOR AGREEMENT As a condition of planning action #91-019 the Pacific institute of Natural Sciences, dba Pacific Northwest Museum of Natural History (hereinafter referred to as MUSEUM), is limited to 2,250 visitors per day. The purpose of the visitor limit as established by the City Council and included in the conditions of site review approval is to limit adverse impacts from additional traffic to and from the site. This agreement with the City of Ashland (CITY) is to specify the terms of monitoring and reporting to fulfill the visitor limitation condition. The MUSEUM agrees to keep attendance records and compile totals on a daily basis of all paid visitors (persons who purchase individual tickets), and estimates of the number of member visitors (whose membership includes admission to the museum). The MUSEUM is not required to include in its visitor count the paid staff and volunteers of the museum nor groups who may rent facilities outside the regular hours of the museum. The MUSEUM will submit to the CiTY by the tenth of each month beginning in August 1994 a report of the average daily attendance in the previous month. The MUSEUM further agrees that it will arrange for advance sale of tickets in order to regulate the flow of visitors as it deems practical to provide for a quality visitor experience. The advance ticketing is intended to help the MUSEUM achieve an average daily attendance of 2,250 (paid admissions), and limit the number of automobile trips to and from the site. This agreement shall be reevualuated in approximately one year, but in no case later than 18-months after the opening of the MUSEUM on July 1, 1994. For MUS ~3Fr~ State of Oregon ) S.S.
