City of Ashland granted recently to U S WEST Communications for place-
ment of telephone facilities on city property along Clay Street.

KNOW .ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

For and in consideration of Mutual Benefits , the undersigned, hereinafter referred to
as Grantor(s), hereby grants a perpetual easement to Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company, a Washington Corporation,
its successors and assigns, hereinafter referred to as Grantee, with the right, privilege and authority to place, construct,
maintain, inspect, reconstruct, repair, replace, remove and keep obstacles clear from Grantee's facilities consisting of__
Underground Communication Lines and Above Ground Cabinets
and other appurtenances as the Grantee may from time to time require over, across, upon and under the hereinafter described
property situated in Jackson _ County, State of 0reEon and is described as follows:
See attached legal description (exhibit A) in Township 39 South, Range 1East,W.M.,
Section 14BB, Tax Lot 701, Jackson County, Oregon.
The easement is as follows: A strip of land 10 (ten) feet in width and 10 (ten)
feet in length, within the Northwestern corner (see exhibit B), as placed, and being
a portion of the above described property.
Grantee shall at all times have the right of full and free ingress to and egress from said property described above, with the
understanding that Grantee shall be responsible for all damage caused to Grantor arising from Grantee's exercise of the rights
and privileges herein granted.
Grantor reserves the right to use the easement for any purposes as long as not inconsistent with nor an interference with the
rights granted Grantee herein.
The rights, conditions and provisions of this easement shall inure to the benefit of and be binding upon the heirs, executors,
administrators, successors and assigns of the respective parties hereto.

Commencing at the Section corner common to Sections 10, 11, 14 and 15,
Township 39 South, Range i East of the Willamette Meridian, Jackson County,
Oregon; thence South 89°54'06" East along the Section llne common to said
Sections 1! and 14, 629.99 feet to a point on the Northerly extension of the
Westerly right-of-way line of Clay Street; thence leaving said Section line,
South 00°03'02" East to and along the Westerly right-of-way of Clay Street,
303.00 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin; thence leaving said right-of-way line,
North 89°54'06" West and parallel with the Northerly boundary line of Section
14, 140.00 feet to a 5/8 inch Iron pin; thence North 00°03 '02" West and
parallel with Clay Street, 138.095 feet to a 5/8 inch iron pin situated on the
