Attached is a letter from Rosalind Schrodt in
reference to the fire hydrant and occupancy issue.
I talked to Paul about recording the document and he
said the letter was "unrecordable". So, I am
suggesting the following to track this issue:
Nan, would you please place in your files for
miscellaneous liens?
John, I am giving you the originals for your

To Brian Almquist, City Manager, City of Ashland
We accept our deposit for the fire Sydrant for 525 Fordyce back from the
City of Ashland. We are doing this !vita the agreement that any new
cottage industry moving in after we move to our new location will need
to install a fire hydrant before new operations can begin.

Dear Brian:
This letter is to inform you that construction is in progress to
move our operation to our new Oak Street location. Construction
is progressing well with a completion date expected this year.
Raw materials are being moved to Oak Street and the Fordyce Street
property was listed with Star Properties several months ago. One
offer was receivedl another is pending. All permits, bank loans,
and other requirements were secured for a prompt completion of
construction. Taylor-Made Builders, an Ashland based company with
a strong reputation, is the general contractor. Valley of the Rogue
Bank and SBA are the lending agents. Frank Billovets is the
lending officer at Valley of the Rogue Bank and can give you whatever
documents or information you may need for verification.
Through no fault of our own, the loan application made through the
SBA took much longer than we ever expected. We have worked hard
and diligently to have our project completed and our operation
transferred rapidly. As it is now clearly evident that we will be
moving shortly, and that the CD held in trust at Valley of the Rogue
Bank has reached maturity, I am requesting that the City of Ashland
release that trust in order for us to have the necessary funds to
meet our obligations to complete the Oak Street project.
Thank you for this consideration and I apologize for any inconvenience
this process may have created. Creating a small business from
scratch and then weathering the storms of rapid growth and necessary
moves to new locations can create severe hardships along the way.
From the beginning, at the top of our list of objectives has been to
create quality jobs in the secondary wood products catagory in the
Ashland area. With the help of the city officials, we are achieving
that goal. We thank you for your help and support.
Sincerely,
F'G~r y ~chrodt
