1991-070 Sale Deed - Owen,Woods

Olson, Assistant City Engineer'S/ ~ Acceptance of deed for right of way on Manzanita Street The right of way on Manzanita Street, between Scenic Drive and High Street has never been fully resolved as to its legal status, width, or exact location. We have formulated a policy of establishing and monumentating the right of way lines with the development of each lot in this area. To this date the north side of the street has been nearly resolved. The attached conveyance is our first effort on the south side of the street. Since the street is improved, we have attempted to establish right of way lines five feet behind the curb, which would allow for placement of sidewalks. The attached bargain and sale deed from Owen~ Woods and Roble, grants to the City of Ashland a strip of land, 5 feet wide by 69 feet long, for street purposes. Also included is an easement for an existing pole anchor. Since there was no consideration given for this conveyance and since the recording fees were not paid by the City, this memo is offered as acceptance of that instrument recorded as document no. 91.22949 of the official Records of Jackson County, Oregon.
