AN ORD~N~,NCE C~LL~N~ FOR THE V~C~T~ON P, ND REDED~C~T~ON OF
LAND FOR PUBLIC RIgHT-OF-WaY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,
the travelled portion of Hitt Road and Strawberry Lane
do not follow the dedicated right-of-way per deed
records; and
WHEREAS,
an agreement has been reached with abutting property
owners to survey and monument Hitt Road and Strawberry
Lane as they actually exist; and
WHEREAS,
the dedication was completed on the stipulation that
the portions of the original deeded right-of-way of
both Hitt Road and Strawberry Lane, lying outside of
the re-dedicated right-of-way, be vacated; and
WHEREAS,
the City Council of the City of Ashland held a public
hearing on 1 August 1989 and determined that the
vacation and rededication of said rights-of-ways is in
the best interest of the City of Ashland;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT:
SECTION 1. The portions of Hitt Road and Strawberry Lane
described on Exhibit "A" are hereby vacated; and
SECTION 2. The land dedicated to the City of Ashland for
public street and utility right-of-way and adjacent
easements for slope and public utility use on Hitt Road and
Strawberry Lane described on Exhibit "B" is hereby accepted
by the city of Ashland and dedicated for public street and
utility right-of-way and/or easement purposes.
The foregoing ordinance was FIRST P~AD on the 15th day of August,
1989, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of September,
1989.

Description of Right of Way to be Vacated
Ail that portion of Hitt Road and Strawberry Lane deeded to
the City of Ashland by instruments recorded in Volume 202 Page
243, Volume 202 Page 244, Volume 202 Page 245 and Volume 202 Page
246 of the Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon; being further
described below and vacating that portion thereof lying outside
of the re-established right of way as dedicated to the City of
Ashland by that Minor Land Partition recorded on the 31st day of
May 1989 and recorded in Volume 9 Page 43 of "Minor Land
Partitions" in Jackson County, Oregon.
A strip of land 30 feet in width, being 15 feet on each side
of the following described centerline:
Commencing at a point 70 feet North and 10 feet West of the
Southwest corner of Government Lot #2 in Section 8, Township
39 South, Range 1 East; thence North 51 degrees 30' West 250
feet; thence North 48 degrees 05' West 241 feet; thence
North 25 degrees 05' West 146 feet; thence North 10 degrees
56' West 141 feet, to the True Point of Beginning; thence
continue North 10 degrees 56' West 120 feet; thence North 73
degrees 30' West 238 feet; thence South 265 feet; thence
South 24 degrees 30' West.ll0 feet; thence South 10 degrees
30' West 145 feet; thence South 31 degrees 10' West 55 feet;
thence South 79 degrees 20' West 155 feet; thence South 3
degrees 25' West 90 feet; thence South 38 degrees 55' West
220 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the South
boundary of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 8.
Also described as follows:
A strip of land 30 feet in width, being 15 feet on each side
of the following described center line:
Beginning at a point (approx.) 810 feet East of the
Northwest corner of the South half of the Southwest Quarter
of the Northeast Quarter of Section 8, Township 39 South of
Range 1 East, W.M.; thence North 10 degrees 56' West 120
feet; thence North 73 degrees 30' West 238 feet; thence
South 180 feet more or less to an intersection with the
North line of said South half of the Southwest Quarter of
the Northeast Quarter of Section 8.
