Dear Brian:
Enclosed is the signed wage amendment to the Technical/Clerical
Agreement. We will forward same to our International Office for
approval and then forward you an approved copy.
Also, as discussed with you and in accordance with the current
Working Agreement, we request that the following classifications
receive adjustments:
1. Building Maintenance/Warehouse Worker
2. Fnergy Analyst & Inspector
3. Cashier
4. Administrative Secretary (Planning)/Court Clerk II
5. Account Clerk (3)
6. Clerk II
7. Associate Planner/Revenue Officer

The above classifications and or individual positions wage
adjustments will be presented at our first negotiating meeting
for agreement by the parties as outlined in the wage schedule
addendum (B) number (2).
We are confident that a settlement will be reached and will
await your reply as to mutually convenient dates to meet and begin
the discussion.

(1) To be reduced by 2.5% for Class B Certification; 5% for Class
C Certification; and 7.5% for Trainee Certification.
(2) To be increased by 2.5% for either L.S.I.T. or E.I.T.
Certification or 5% for R.L.S.
(3) Plus $50.00 a month when assigned payroll responsibilities.
(4) To be increased by 2.5% for Class C Building Certification.
New employees in this position must obtain their Class C
Building Certification within 12 months of their date of
hire.
NOTE: During anytime that the City pays the employees contribu-
tion to PERS as required by ORS 237.071, six percent (6%) will be
added to the wage rates shown on the attached schedule for the
purpose of salary comparisons and computing inequity adjustments.
All rates are hourly rates. Monthly rates are for information
purpose~ only.
A. Employees assigned to established special projects, for
extended peri6ds of time, which require substantially increased
responsibilities and duties, compared to their normal assignment
and job description, shall receive additional compensation. At
the time of the assignment the employee and his/her supervisor
shall discuss the matter of additional compensation.
