HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-074 Resolution 1988-12 RESOLUTION NO. ~2o/~/ A RESOLUTION DEDICATING LAND FOR PARK PURPOSES PURSUANT TO ,ARTICLE XIX SECTION 3 OF THE ASHLAND CITY CHARTER. WHEREAS, the City Council acquired certain property from Jackson County on the South side of East Main Street between Garfield and California Streets, for park purposes; and WHEREAS, the Ashland Park and Recreation Commission has requested that the acquired property be dedicated for park purposes in order that the site may be improved. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the land described.in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof is hereby dedicated for park purposes pursuant to Article XIX, Section 3 of the Ashland City Charter. SECTION 2. That the portion excepted from Exhibit "A" may also be utilized for park purposes, but no permanent structures built thereon, until such time as the land is needed for other city purposes. The foregoing Resolution was READ and DULY ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Ashland on the ___~ , 1988. Nan E.
