AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE PERIOD OF JULY 1,2004 TO AND
INCLUDING JUNE 30, 2005, SUCH TAXES IN THE SUM OF $8,399,000 UPON ALL THE REAL
AND PERSONAL PROPERTY SUBJECT TO ASSESSMENT AND LEVY WITHIN THE
CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, JACKSON COUNTY, OREGON AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE 2910.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Ashland hereby levies the taxes provided for in the adopted budget in the
permanent rate of $3.5647 per thousand an amount estimated to be $5,696,000, voter authorized Local Option in the
rate of $1.3800 per thousand an amount estimated to be $2,205,000, as well as $498,000 authorized for the repayment
of General Obligation Debt and that these taxes are hereby levied upon the assessed value for the fiscal year starting
July 1, 2004, on all taxable property within the City.
Section 2. That the City Council hereby declares that the taxes so levied are applicable to the following funds:
General Fund
Parks and Recreation Fund
Youth Activities Levy
1982 Water Bond Levy
1997 Flood Restoration Bond Levy
2000 Flood and Fire Station Bonds

Article. X, Section 2(C) of the City Charter on the 20th day of July, 2004, and duly PASSED and
