THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLP.ND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ashland Ordinance No. 1361, the Zoning Ordinance for the City
~'. of Ashland, is hereby amended to rezone the following described property to C-l
"Commercial-Retail District," to wit:
- Commencing at the section corner common to Sections 11, 12, 13,
and 14, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette Merid-
ian, Jackson County, Oregon, thence North 45000' East, 95.20 feet
to a point on the Southwesterly right of way of East Main Street,
for the True Point of Beginning; thence North 380 56t ~"est along
said right of way 1450.15 feet, to a point on the East line of
"Government Lot 10 in Section 11, said Township and Range; thence
South Oooll' '~est, along the East line of said lot, 286.04 feet
to the Northwest ccrner of tract described in Volume 422 Page 19,
Jac:Kson C01,1fit.y Deed Records; thencE: South 51 045' East, along the
Northerly line of said tract, 171.40 feet; thence South 34052'
East, 236.30 feet to the Southeast corner of tract described in
Volmn~ 403, Page 227, said Deed Records; thence West, along the
Sohtb line of said tract, 270.00 feet to the East line of said
Lot: 10; thence South 00011' West along said East line, 405.14 feet
to the Southerly right of way of Highway No. 66; thence North 670
17' East, along said Southerly right of way 146.04 feet; thence
alcmg the arc of a 411.68 foot radius curve to the right (the long
chord of whi.ch bears South 8j' 53' 30" East, 371.77 feet) 385.72 feet;
thence South 59003' East, 620.45 feet to an intersection ~ith the
prc;jected Southwesterly right of't.vay of East Hain Stre-etj th~nce
North 38056' West, along said projected right of way 195.94 feet

EXCEPTING THEREFROM, the. follo\ving described - real property; Begin-
ning at a point on the East li11e of Governrrl ~nt Lot 10, Section-II,
Tov;rnship 39 South, Range 1 East, Wl11amett( Meridian, Jackson County,
Oregon, which point bears North 0011' East, 268.34 feet, from the South-
east corner of said lot; thence continue along said lot line, North 0011'
East, 150.0 feet; thence-East, 130.0 feet; thence South 0 11' West 101.1

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
effect not less than 30 days from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor
and after receipt of an Affidavit or other proof satisfactory to the City that a
valid contract has been entered into for the construction of a Motel in accord
with an agreement between the City of Ashland and the developers of Ashland Hills;
however, if such proof is not received within two (2) years from the date of the
passage of this Ordinance, this Ordinance shall be null and void.
