ORDINANCE NO 2276
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AHENDMENTS TO THE
TEXT OF TITLE 18, ASHLAND }IDNICIPAL CODE,
OF THE LAND-USE ORDINANCE ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NOo 2228.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOHS:
SECTION 10 The text of the Land-Use Ordinance as adopted
1)')7-'Ordinance No. 2228 is hereby amended as set forth in
Exhibit nA" attached hereto and incorporated by reference
as if set forth in full herein.

"EXHIBIT A"
SECTION 1~ Ordinance No. 2228 and Section 18.84.010 of the
AshlantJlMUnicipal Code shall be amended following the phrase
"apITopriate Ci ty codes;" by deleting the remainder of the
Section "to aid in securing safety from fire and other dangers
and to conserve and stabilize the value of property; and in
general to promote the public health, safety and general wel-
fare."
SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 2228 and Section 18.88.010 of the
Ashlan(~nicipal Code shall be amended following the phrase
"more efficient land use," by deleting the remainder of the
Section "and should minimize the impact of development on the
natural environment and neighborhood."
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 2228 and Section 18.84.030(5b) of the
AshlanclHUnicipal Code shall be amended by changing the word
"disapprove" to "deny" and by adding the following sentence
thereto:
"Conditions may not be placed which would exclude
needed housing as defined in the Comprehensive Plan
or cause an unreasonable decrease in density."
SECTION 4. Ordinance No. 2228 and Section 18.88.030(5b) of the
Ashland~nicipal Code shall be amended by changing the word
"disapprove" to "deny" and by adding the following sentence
thereto:

needed housing as defined in the Comprehensive Plan
or cause an unreasonable decrease in density."
