ORDINANCE NO. 2192
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2052, THE
LAND-USE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, AND
SECTION 18.12.030 OF THE ASHLAND MUNICIPAL CODE,
TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM JACKSON COUNTY
RR-5 (RURAL RESIDENTIAL 5 AC. MIN.), TO CITY
R-1-5 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL). (Walker
Annexation)
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 2052 and Section 18.12.030 of the
Ashland Municipal Code, are hereby amended by rezoning from
Jackson County RR-5 (Rural Residential - 5 acre min.) to City of
Ashland R-l~5 (Single Family Residential), the following des-
cribed property, to wit:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the
south line of East Main Street extended, with
the west line of Walker Avenue, which point is 378.58
feet South and North 89033' East 1197.34 feet from
the northwest corner of Donation Land Claim No. 45
in Township 390South, Range 1 East of the Willamette
Meridian in Jackson County, Oregon; thence South 0015'
East along the West line of Walker Avenue 674.60 feet
to the point of beginning; thence South 89033' West
225.00 feet; thence South 0015' East 176.30 feet;
thence South 89033' West 514.19 feet to the South-
westerly right of way line of the Southern Pacific
Company railroad; thence along said right of way line
South 55018' East, 901.82 feet to the West line of
Walker Avenue; thence along said line North 0015' West,
695.5 feet to the true point of beginning. (This
property description was prepared from Jackson County,
Oregon, deed records and does not reflect an actual
ground survey.)
The foregoing ordinance was firs t read on the &. '6{ day of
April, 1982, and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this~~ day of April, 1982.
