HomeMy WebLinkAbout1726 Rezoning Certain PropertyORDINANCE NO. 1726 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1361, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-l (SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO R-3:l.2 (MULTIPLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Common Council have held hearings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council deem it to be in the best interests of the City of Ashland that said rezoning be permitted, NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended to rezone from R-l, Single - Family Residential, to R-3:l.2, Multiple-Family Residential the following described property located in the City of Ashland, County of Jackson, State of Oregon, to-wit: Lots 50 and 51 in the SOUTHERN HOME TRACT in the City of Ashlahd, Oregon. SECTION. 2,. ~hat inasmuch as it is deemed necessary for the public health, peace and safety of the citizens of the City of Ashland, that the provisions shall be made immediately operative, it is hereby declared that an emergency exists and this Ordinance shall be in_full force and effect from and after its passage by the Council and approval by the Mayor.
