An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1361, the zoning ordinance
of the City of Ashland, to rezone from M or Industrial - General
District to C-l or Commercial - Retail District certain property
on Tolman Creek Road adjoining the Southern Pacific Railroad.
WHEF~S, the Planning Commission and Common Council have held
hearings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter described prop-
erty, and
WHEF~AS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council
deem it to the best interests of the City of AShland that said
rezoning be permitted,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That~ Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended
to rezonE~ from M or Industrial - General District to C-l or Com-
mercial -. Retail District the following described property, to-wit:
A triangular parcel of land in the Northwest Quarter
of Section 14, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the
Willamette Meridian in the City of Ashland, Jackson
County, Oregon, lying within the following boundary
linE!s: On the East by the West right-of-way line of
Toln~n Creek Road in said City; on the South by the
Nort:herly right-of-way line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad; and on the North by the South right-of-way
linE~ of State Highway No. 66 (Ashland Street). EXCEPT-
ING THEREFROM the North 200 feet of the above described
parcel.
The foregoing ordinance was duly passed, under a suspension
of the rules, at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on
