certain l)roperty on Clay Street adjoining the Southern Pacific
Railroad..

WHEJ~S, the Planning Commission and Common Council have held
hearings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter described prop-
erty, and
WHBJtEAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council
deem it t~o the best interests of the City of Ashland that said
rezoning be pe~itted,
NOW, THERBPORB, THE PEOPLE OF '!'HI CITY OF ASHLAND 00 ORDAIN
AS ..OLLOt'S:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended
to rezOnEt from R-J. or Residential - Single Family District to 1.-3
or a.es1de~ntial - Multiple Family District the following described
property, to-wit:
Beq1.nning at a point on the section line between Sections
11 B.nd 14 in Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Wi1-
lamEttte Meridian in Jackson County, Oregon, which point
is S:outh 89053' Bast 10.05 chains from the corner common
to Siections 10, 11, 14 and 15, said Township and Rangel
the1]\ce North 19.95 chains; thence North 89053' West 13.62
chains to the northeast corner of tract. described in Vol-
ume 84, page 501, of the Deed Records of Jackson Count.y,
Oreg'onl thence South 11.48 chains to the northerly right-
of-~.y line of t.he Southern Pacific Railroad Company,
then.ce South 55-15' East, along said right-of-way line,
14.94 chains to said section line between Sections 11
and 14: thence South 89053' East, along said section
line, 1.20 chains to the point of beginning_
The foregoing ordinance was duly passed, under a suspension
of t.he rules, at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on
