WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Common Council have held hearings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter described prop- erty, and WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council deem it to the best interests of the City of Ashland that said rezoning be permitted, NOW', THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended to rezone from R-l:B-8 or Residential - Single Family District to C-l or Commercial - Retail District the following described prop- erty, to-wit: Beg'inning at the Southwest corner of the Edmonds Subdivision in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon: thence South 0010' East 143.0 feet to the true point of beginning: thence continue South 0010' East 160.0 feet, more or less, to a point which lies 200 feet at right angles to the Northeasterly right of way line of the Siskiyou Boulevard (Highway #99) in said City: thence South 56013' East parallel to saj,d Boulevard 513.77 feet to the West line of land described in Volume 394, Page 205, of Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon: thence North 0010' West along the West line of said property extended 190.0 feE~t; thence North 88057 1 West 230.0 feet; thence North 0010' West 200.0 feet; thence North 880571 West 196.76 feet to the true point of beginning.
