ORDINANCE NO. 1645
An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1361, the zoning ordinance
of the City of Ashland, to rezone certain property from R-l:B-8 or
Residential - Single Family District to C-l or Commercial - Retail
District.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Common Council have held
heafings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter described prop-
erty, and
WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council
deem it to the best interests of the City of Ashland that said
rezoning be permitted,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended
to rezone from R-l:B-8 or Residential - Single Family District to
C-l or Commercial - Retail District the following described prop-

ertty, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the Southerly line of the Oregon
and California Railroad right of way 20 chains East and
9.56 chains South of the corner common to Sections 10,
11, 14 and IS, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the
Willamette Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon; thence
South 9.44 chains; thence East 10 chains; thence North
2.44 chains to the Southerly line of said right of way;
thence along said right of way North 550 West 12.21
chains to the point of beginning.
The foregoing ordinance was duly passed, under a suspension
of the rules, at a regular meeting of the Common Council held on
the ~~ day of March, 1970, the vote being as follows:
