HomeMy WebLinkAbout1678 Rezoning PropertyORDINANCE NO. 1678 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1361, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-l B:8 RESIDENTIAL-SINGLE FAMILY, TO R-3 2.4 RESIDENTIAL-MULTIPLE FAMILY. WHEREAS, The Planning Commission and Common Council have held hearings on the question of rezoning the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council deem it to be the best interests of the City of Ashland that said rezoning be permitted, NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended to rezone from R-l B:8, residential-single family, to R-3 2.4 residential-multiple family the following described property located in the City of Ashland, the County of Jackson, State of Oregon, to-wit: Beginning at a point on the west sideline of Clay Street in Jackson County, Oregon, which point is 635.70 feet east and 183 feet south of the northwest corner of Section 14 in Township 39 South of Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian in Jackson County, Oregon; thence north 56019' west 108.16 feet to the true point of beginning, this point being the northwest corner of tract described in Volume 316 page 339 of the Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon; thence south along the west line of said tract 180 feet to the southwest corner thereof; thence west 50 feet; thence north to the southerly sideline of County Road; thence easterly along the southerly sideline of County Road to the true point of beginning.
