An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1361, the zoning ordinance
of the City of Ashland, by rezoning the Hillah Temple pr~perty from
R-l, Residential - Sinqle Family District, to C-2, Commer,cial -
Downtown District.
WHEREAS, the Cammon Council has heretofore passed a resolution

expressing the intent of the City of Ashland to consider the advis-
ability of rezoning the Hillah Temple property from R-1, Residential -
Single Family District, to C-2, Commercial - Downtown District, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the Common Council have
held hearings on said question after publication of notice as required
by law, and
WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Cammon Council
deem it to be to the best interests of the City of AShland that said
areal be rezoned,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DOl ORDAIN
AS POLLOWS:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended
to rezone froma-l, Residential - Single Family District, to C-2,
Commercial - DOwntown District, the following described 'p~roperty,
to-wi t :
Commencinq at the southeast corner of Lot Nine (9) i.n
Block One (1) of the City of Ashland, Jackson Count1l',
Oregon, according to theoff1c1al 1888 Map of said C:it.y,
thence South 3-33' East 20.0 feet, more or less, to the
center line of Mill street in said City, thence Sout~
83-20' West a10D9' said center line 196.6 feet, thenc:e
South 12-46' West 23.1 feet to the true point of be<,;rin-
ning, t.hence continue South 12-46' West 139.80 feetJ
