ORDINANCE NO. 1379
An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1361, the zoning ordinance
of t.he City of Ashland, by rezoning certa.in property on Clover Lane
at the intersection of Interstate 5 and Highway 66 from R-l, Resi-
dential - Single Family District, to C-l, C ~);..mterc1al - R-:!tail
Dis~rict, and certain property in the Tolman Creek Road area south
of the Southern pacific Railroad right-of-way fram R-l:B-8, Resi-
dential - Single Family District, to.H, Industrial General District..
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the Common Council have
held hearings on said questions after publication of not~lce as
required by law, and
WHEREAS, both the Planning Commission and the Common Council
deem it to be to the best interests of the City of AShland that
said areas be rezoned,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND D() ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
That Ordinance No. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended
to rezone from a-l, Residential - Single Family District, to C-l,
Commercial - Retail District, the following described property,
to-wit:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Section 14,
Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the Willamette ME!ridian
in Jackson Co'unty, oregon: thence South 0.31' East a.long
said East line of Lot 1, 883.88 feet: thence West 430.0
feet, more or less, to the Easterly right of way line of
Interstate 5 FreewaYi thence Northwesterly along said
Easterly right of way line of Interstate 5 to a point
which lies So'uth 230.0 feet from and at right anglels to
the center line of state Highway 66: thence Westerly and
parallel to said Highway center line 610.0 feet, more or
less, to the 'westerly right of way line of Interstate 51
thence Northwesterly alonq said Westerly right of way
I line to the Northerly line of Highway 66; thence along
said Northerl:y line of Highway 66 Easterly and North-
easterly to a point which lies North 0.311 West 249~83
feet from the Northeast corner of Lot 1 in said Sect:.ion
14, thence So'utb 0.311 East 249.83 feet to the point. of
beg inning.

Section 2.
That Ordinanc,e Ho. 1361 be, and the same hereby is, amended
to rezone from a-l:D-S, Residential - Single Family District, to
M, Xndustrial - General District, the following describe(} property,
to-\fi t:
Beginning at ;a point on the quarter section line of
Section 14, Township 39 South, Range 1 East of the
W111amette Meridian, Jackson County, Oregon, 46 rods
North of the !center of said section, said point being
the Northeast corner of tract described in Volume 56,
page 402, Deed Records of Jackson County, Oregon;
thence West along- said line 359.67 feet; thence Nor1:.h
0.11' West, 115.0 feet; thence West 283.0 feet to the
East line of !rolman Creek Road: thence along said
road North 0.111 West, 593.92 feet to the South-
westerly line of a road; thence along said road south
55.09' East, ;para11el with and 100.0 feet from the
center line of the Southern Pacific Railroad 785.64
feet to the North-South center line of said sectionjt
thence South ,along said line 259.99 feet to the point
of beqinning.
The foregoing ordinance was duly passed, under a suspension
