PSA City of Ashland
Charter Review Committee
Public Forum
**************************
The city charter determines the power that citizens give to their elected and appointed
officials and the power they retain for themselves.
A primary consideration in a city charter is the structure of government. The charter
review committee has identified options for the structure of government in Ashland and
is eager for public input on those options.
Please join the charter review committee members on Thursday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. in
the Redmond Room of Stevenson Union on the SOU campus to discuss and give input on
the structure of government.

The Vision of Downtown Ashland
Public Meeting
Downtown Ashland is the heart of the community and the City of Ashland is eager to
hear from residents how they envision the future of downtown Ashland.
On Wednesday, January 26 at 7:00 in the Old Ashland Armory on Oak Street, the city is
hosting a kick-off event to begin the process shaping the vision of downtown. Mark you
calendars and plan to attend.
A vision is a touchstone against which future projects and decisions can be weighed and
working together we can shape the future of the heart of our community.
