HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-04-12 Hearings Board MIN ASHLAND PLANNING COMMISSION HEARINGS BOARD APRIL 12, 2005 MINUTES CALL TO ORDER Chair Russ Chapman called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. on April 12, 2005 in the Civic Center Council Chambers, 1175E. Main Street, Ashland, Oregon. Commissioners Present: Russ Chapman Olena Black John Fields Absent Commissioners: None Council Liaison: Jack Hardesty, absent Staff Present: Maria Harris, Senior Planner Derek Severson, Assistant Planner Amy Anderson, Assistant Planner Sue Yates, Executive Secretary APPROVAL OF MINUTES AND FINDINGS The minutes of the March 8, 2005 Hearings Board were amended as follows: Page 3, “Chapman felt the parking demand…would require more B Street ‘parking’.” Also on page 3, further down the page, “That a four to five foot buffer be retained between the existing ‘new’ building.” Fields/Black m/s to approve the amended minutes. Voice Vote: Unanimous. Fields/Black m/s to approve the Findings for PA2005-00039, 150 N. Pioneer, Potocki. Voice Vote: Unanimous. TYPE I PLANNING ACTIONS PLANNING ACTION 2005-230 REQUEST FOR A LAND PARTITION TO DIVIDE ONE EXISTING PARCEL INTO TWO PARCELS INCLUDING A FLAG LOT AT THE REAR FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1031 PARK STREET APPLICANT: STEVE LARSON FOR HELEN LOUISE LARSON This action was called up for a public hearing. PLANNING ACTION 2005-456 REQUEST FOR A LAND PARTITION TO DIVIDE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 240 SCENIC DRIVE INTO TWO PARCELS WITH ONE PARCEL BEING A FLAG LOT. APPLICANT: MEDINGER CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. This action was approved. PLANNING ACTION 2005-457 REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF THE EXISTING TRAVELER’S ACCOMMODATION LOCATED AT 134 SECOND STREET. APPLICANT: STACY FOUNTAIN This action was approved. PLANNING ACTION 2005-455 REQUEST FOR LAND PARTITION TO DIVIDE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 708 CLAY STREET INTO THREE PARCELS WITH TWO PARCELS BEING FLAG LOTS. APPLICANT: PACIFIC NORTHWEST BUILDING & DESIGN, LLC This action was approved. PLANNING ACTION 2005-397 REQUEST FOR A TREE REMOVAL PERMIT TO REMOVE AN OAK TREE, AND A MODIFICATION OF A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BUILDING ENVELOPE FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 570 SUTTON PLACE APPLICANT: JAMES MATZGER This action was approved.
