RESOLUTION NO. 2005-21
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE PAY SCHEDULE FOR
MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2005-2006.
RECITALS:
1. The wage adjustment for two City Labor unions is established in the amount of 3%>. The
remaining three unions are currently in negotiations with the City and have not reached
agreement.
2. The budget for Fiscal year 2005/2006 anticipates a 3%) adjustment for all management,
and confidential employee classifications.
3. It is the desire of the City to maintain its management and confidential pay plan at a level
commensurate with other jurisdictions to enhance recruitment and retention in these key
positions. It is also important to maintain salary differentials and avoid compression
between represented employees and the supervisory/management staff.
THE CITY OF ASHLAND RESOLVES AS FOllOWS:
SECTION 1. The overall pay schedule is hereby increased by 3% for Management, Mid-
Management/Supervisory and Confidential employees effective July 1, 2005.
SECTION 2. The salary of the Municipal Judge and the City Recorder shall be increased by
3.450/0, which is the weighted average of the adjustments made for Department Heads and
Supervisors as set forth in the City Charter.
SECTION 3. This resolution takes effect upon signing by the Mayor.
This resolution was read by title only in accordanpe with Ashland Municipal Code 9.2.04.090
