RESOLUTION NO. 91-.33
A RESOLUTION CALLING AN ELECTION ON THE 5TH DAY OF NOVEMBER,
1991, IN THE CITY OF ASHLAND FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE
LEGAL VOTERS OF THE CITY A MEASURE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF
$2,060,000 IN GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF ASHLAND AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. A general election is hereby called to be held in the City of
Ashland, Oregon. All ballots must be delivered in person or by mail to the
Jackson County Elections Department, Jackson County Courthouse by 8:00 P.M.
on the 5th day of November, 1991, at which time there shall be submitted to
the legal voters of said City for their adoption or rejection the following
proposed measure, to wit:
CAPTION:
GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND AUTHORIZATION FOR WATER IMPROVEMENTS.
QUESTION:
Shall the City of Ashland issue general obligation bonds in an
amount not to exceed $2,060,000.00 for water improvements? If
the Bonds are approved, they will be payable from taxes imposed
on property or property ownership that are not subject to the
limitations of Section 11b, Article XI of the Oregon
Constitution.

EXPLANATION:
This measure authorizes the City to issue general obligation
bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,060,000.00. If approved bond
proceeds will be used to finance the construction of a new
reservoir, water lines, related improvements, and to pay all
incidental costs. The bonds will mature over a period not to
exceed 25 years.

The City Recorder is hereby requested and directed to give due
such special election hereby called as provided in the laws of
of Oregon and the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Ashland,
SECTION 3. For the purposes of this election, the polling places shall be
by mail as directed by the Jackson County Clerk.
The foregoing Resolution was duly passed at a regular meeting of the City
