A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
CURBS, GUTTERS, ASPHALTIC PAVING AND STORM DRAINS ON ASHLAND MINE
ROAD.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the Council to cause
curbs, gutters, storm drains, and asphaltic paving to be
constructed by contract on Ashland Mine Road from 110 feet West
of Fox Street to the Ashland City Limits. Such improvements will
be in accordance with costs estimated at $37.00 per front foot of
benefited property, 100% of which will be paid by special
assessments.
SECTION 2. That the Council will meet in the Council Chambers,
Ashland Civic Center, 1175 East Main Street on the 19th day of
December 1989, at 7:30 P.M., at which time and place the owners
of said adjacent benefited property are hereby called upon to
appear before said Councilor to submit written comments, and to
show cause, if any, why said improvement should not be con-
structed, and why said property should not be assessed for the
construction thereof.
SECTION 3. That warrants for the interim financing of the afore-
mentioned improvement shall bear interest at the prevailing
rates, and shall constitute general obligations on the City of
Ashland, and shall be issued pursuant to and on the terms and
conditions set forth in ORS 287.502 to 287.510 inclusive.
SECTION 4. The City Recorder is hereby directed to serve notice
hereof upon the property owners aforesaid by pUblishing a notice
of public hearing once in the Daily Tidings, not less than ten
(10) days prior to the hearing, and by mailing copies of the
notice by registered or certified mail to the owners of each lot
benefited by the proposed improvement as shown on the latest tax
and assessment roll. The notice shall be in the form set forth
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof.
The foregoing Resolution was READ and DULY ADOPTED at a rE~gular
meeting of the City Council of the City of Ashland on the ~/~

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of
Ashland will meet on the 19th day of December, 1989 at 7:30 P.M.
in the Council Chambers, 1175 E. Main Street, to hold a public
hearing to consider the formation of a Local Improvement :District
as follows:
Nature of Improvement: Construct curbs, gutters, storm drains and
paving on Ashland Mine Road from 110 feet West of Fox Street to
the Ashland City Limits.
Benefited Property: 39-1E-5BA, Tax Lots 900, 1000, 1100, 1200,
1301, 1400, 1403, 1404, 1405 and 39-1E-5BB, Tax Lots 201, 202,
203, 204, 205, 206, 207, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700,
1800, 1900, 2000.
Estimated Cost: $86,000 or $37.00 per front foot of benefited
property, 100% of which will be paid by special assessmen1:.
Additional Information: Preliminary project design inforrnation
and detailed estimated of project costs are available during
business hours at the office of the Engineering Division,
27 1/2 N. Main Street (above the Dahlia Restaurant).
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that all affected property owners are
hereby called upon to appear at the hearing, or to submit written
comments prior to or at the hearing, as to why the aforementioned
improvements should not be constructed, or why the benefit:ed
properties should not be assessed for the construction thE~reof in
the manner proposed herein.
