PERMANENT FIRE HYDRANT ACCESS EASEMENT FOR CITY OF ASHLAND
1. Grant of easement. The above named Grantors grant to the City of Ashland, Oregon, "Grantee," a
perpetual non-exclusive easement in gross to access the existing fIre hydrant from the adjacent property to
the east, to lay hose and to conduct all activities consistent with fIre fIghting and with fIlling and
maintaining the existing nearby helicopter dip tank. The easement to be located on real property described
below and further referred to in this easement agreement as the "easement area."
The easement area is located in Jackson County, Oregon, and is described as follows:
See the attached Exhibit A.
2. Use of surface. Grantors shall have the right to use the easement area for all purposes not inconsistent
with the uses and purposes of the property, provided that Grantors shall not build or place any structure
upon the easement area without the prior written consent of Grantee.
3. Access to Easement Area. Grantee, its agents, independent contractors and invitees shall have the right
of ingress and egress to the ,easement area for the purposes connected with this easement. Further the
Grantee shall have the right to install and maintain a gate through Grantors boundary fence for purposes of
accessing the fIre hydrant from the adjacent property to the east.
4. Termination. All rights hereunder shall cease if and when the easement area ceases to be used for public
purposes.
5. Prior Encumbrances. This easement is granted subject to all prior easements or encumbrances of record.

EASEMENT
A parcel of land 15 feet in width located within the Northeast quarter of Section 8, Township 39 South,
Range 1 East of the Willamette Base and Meridian, in the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon being
more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast comer of Lot 21 of the Strawberry Meadows Subdivision in
said City of Ashland as now of record; thence South 01056'46" West, along the Easterly
boundary of said Lot 21, a distance of 171.50 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence
leaving said Easterly boundary, North 88003'14" West, 33.11 feet; thence South
01056'46" West, 15.00 feet; thence South 88003'14" East, 33.11 feet to the Easterly
boundary of said Lot 21; thence along said Easterly boundary, North 01056' 46" East,
15.00 feet to the point of beginning.
