Hoffarth and 2060 votes for Audrey H. Soderberg. Mrs. Soderberg has not asked for a recount, but I note that the State statutes require me to inform you of this situation. I also wish to call to your attention the fact that, because of tech- nical difficulties in the machine tabulation of votes, there has al- ready been a machine rerun of these ballots. This election was conducted by the Jackson County Elections Department at the court house in Medford, Oregon. For more details you may con- tact Mr. Harry Chipman, County Clerk.
