decided by those councilmen in atteDdance to adjourn the meeting until

be in compliance with the Charter.

March 4, 1972
MINUTES
The mayor called a special meeting of the council for 9:00 a.m.
Saturday, March 4, 1972. Mayor McKeen, Councilwoman Soderberg and
Councilman Roberts were the only ones attending. For lack of a
quorum, the meeting was adjourned. It was decided by those present
that Saturday and Sunday are not working days at City Hall, and there-
fore Monday, March 6th, is still within the time prescribed by Charter
to canvass the vote. Therefore a special meeting was called for 1:30
p.m. Monday, !larch 6th, to canvass the vote.

MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION
I, Charles H. McKeen, Mayor of the City of Ashland, do hereby
proclaim that at a special election held in the City of Ashland,
Oregon, on the 29th day of February, 1972, there was submitted to the
electors a measure to repeal City of Ashland Ordinance No. 1706.
That as a result of the canvass of said votes by the Mayor and Common
Council, the result was as follows:

I do hereby proclaim that the electors of the City of Ashland
have rejected the measure, and Ordinance #1706 remains in effect.
