SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING March 4, 1972 MINUTES The mayor called a special meeting of the council for 9:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 1972. Mayor McKeen, Councilwoman Soderberg and Councilman Roberts were the only ones attending. For lack of a quorum, the meeting was adjourned. It was decided by those present that Saturday and Sunday are not working days at City Hall, and there- fore Monday, March 6th, is still within the time prescribed by Charter to canvass the vote. McKeen, Mayor of the City of Ashland, do hereby proclaim that at a special election held in the City of Ashland, Oregon, on the 29th day of February, 1972, there was submitted to the electors a measure to repeal City of Ashland Ordinance No. 1706. That as a result of the canvass of said votes by the Mayor and Common Council, the result was as follows: 72 REPEAL OF ORDINANCE #1706 YES: 999 NO: 1575 I do hereby proclaim that the electors of the City of Ashland have rejected the measure, and Ordinance #1706 remains in effect. The canvass was made from the abstract of votes prepared and certified to by the City Recorder of the City of Ashland, Jackson County, Oregon. Dated at Ashland, Oregon, this day of ~la rch, 1972.
