ASHLAND PLANNING COMMISSION
STUDY SESSION
APRIL 25, 2000
The meeting opened at 6:00 p.m. Commissioners present: Chairman Mike Gardiner, Kerry
KenCairn, Marilyn Briggs, Chris Hearn, Russ Chapman, Mike Morris, Alex Amarotico, John
Fields, and Ray Kistler. Staff present: John McLaughlin, Bill Molnar, Maria Harris, Brandon
Goldman, and Sue Yates.
The new Commissioner, Ray Kistler was introduced. Chairman Mike Gardiner said a few words
on the style he will use to chair meetings. It will be very similar to former Chairman Steve
Armitage.
McLaughlin led a discussion regarding Performance Standards Options, proposed design
standards for civic buildings, and difficulties encountered in decision-making.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
