Home My WebLink About2002-10-08 Hearings Board MIN ASHLAND PLANNING ACTION HEARINGS BOARD MINUTES OCTOBER 8, 2002 CALL TO ORDER – The meeting was called to order by Alex Amarotico at 1:40 p.m. Other Commissioners present were Ray Kistler and Mike Morris. Staff present were Maria Harris and Sue Yates. APPROVAL OF MINUTES AND FINDINGS Morris moved to approve the Minutes of the September 10, 2002 Hearings Board. Amarotico seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. Morris moved to approve the findings for PA2002-096, Amarotico seconded the motion and the Findings were approved. Kistler moved to approve the Findings for 2002-099, Morris seconded the motion and the Findings were approved. TYPE I PLANNING ACTIONS PLANNING ACTION 2002-112 IS A REQUEST FOR SITE REVIEW FOR AN APPROXIMATELY 60,000 SQUARE FOOT, MULTI-STORY ADDITION TO THE LIBRARY AT SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY LOCATED AT 1290 ASHLAND STREET. APPLICANT: SOUTHERN OREGON UNIVERSITY This action was approved. PLANNING ACTION 2002-114 REQUEST FOR A LAND PARTITION TO SPLIT OFF UNIT ONE OF THE EXISTING WOODCREEK CONDOMINIUMS (EXISTING HOUSE), LOCATED AT 508 NORTH MAIN STREET ONTO A SEPARATE PARCEL. APPLICANT: ROBERT R. KLESERT This action was approved. PLANNING ACTION 2002-116 REQUEST FOR SITE REVIEW TO CONSTRUCT A SIX-UNIT APARTMENT BUILDING AT 41 GARFIELD STREET. A VARIANCE IS REQUESTED FOR A REDUCTION IN THE NUMBER OF REQUIRED OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES FROM TEN TO NINE, AS WELL AS A REDUCTION IN DRIVEWAY WIDTH. THE PROPOSAL ALSO INCLUDES AN ADMINISTRATIVE VARIANCE TO REDUCE THE REQUIRED LANDSCAPE BUFFER ADJOINING THE PARKING AREA. APPLICANT: ASHLAND COMMUNITY LAND TRUST This action was approved.
