Re: LEASE AND PAYMENT FOR USE OF THE CITY'S EFU LAND (FORMERLY
KNOWN AS THE IMPERATRICE PROPERTY)
Dear Ron,
I believe I am behind in requesting your payment for the use of the City's EFU land. I see your cattle
daily, and enjoy watching them wander around.
The latest check I received from you was in October 2001 and that caught us up for that dry summer.
I do not believe I have seen a check for the rest of last year or this year. As such, I need your check
for $1,000 per month for the past 14 months; $14,000. Please send me your check by the elld of
January. I would refer a payment every quarter. We have not collected rent prior to your use, so
your prompt payments would be appreciated.
The City is not actively looking for a buyer, but it is likely that the City will sell the property when
the time comes. We will give you as much notice as possible, but at a minimum, we will give you 30
days notice of a final sale.
I am curious of your future plans. Do you anticipate using this site over the fall and winter? Please
let me kno~.v. Should you choose to relocate your cattle and not remain-onthe-site, please-give me a
30 days notice.
Thank you again for working with us and for your continued flexibility. If you have any questions, please
contact me at (541) 552-2411.
Sincerely,
Paula C. Brown
