1.Planning Action 2002-040 is a request for Site Review approval for the
construction of a “conveyor car wash system” (i.e. drive-thru) at the Mobil
Service Station located at 2371 Ashland Street. The application includes a
request for the Planning Commission to make an interpretation that the
proposed conveyor car wash system is not a “Drive-up Use” as defined in
the Ashland Land Use Ordinance. Comprehensive Plan Designation:
Commercial; Zoning: C-1; Assessor’s Map#: 391E11D; tax Lot: 1202.

2.Planning Action 2003-052 is a request for Outline/Final Plan and Site
Review approval for a six-unit, multi-family development under the
Performance Standards Option for the property located at 55 California

requirement as well as a Variance to the minimum distance required
between buildings. Comprehensive Plan Designation: High Density Multi-
Family Residential; Zoning: R-3; Assessor’s map: 391E10BC; Tax Lot:
