The only real secretarial duty is to take minutes at the commission meeting and then delivering them to the Planning Department shortly thereafter, Mark suggests that pen & paper be put in the commission box each month to assist with the transition. C. Site Review for July - Donn Todt will review landscape plans for July as the Commission will not meet that month. D. Use of herbicide "Spike" along irrigation ditches - The Talent Irrigation District has just completed a three year program of spraying to control puncturevine. Donn Todt reported that the use of the herbicide does a lot of damage to nearby vegetation, especially woody plants. Donn Todt reported that Ashland resident Nan Hannon has filed an official complaint regarding this. The commission or the city may want to keep an eye on the ditches in Ashland for chemical damage. E. Mark Jenne's last meeting - Mark has delivered his notes on the tree inventory and on various tree ordinances around the west to Nancy Slocum in the Planning Department.
