A Trees around Power Lines - Donn Todt met with the Electric Utility trimmers.

seemed willing to work with us. (The head pruner will retire soon so we should
expect to discuss this again soon.)
B. Update of Recommended Street Tree List - Donn has not talked to Candy
recently (Candy is doing the brochure layout work), so there is no update.
C. Arboretum Status - David Mason reports that contractual negotiations and
Arboretum design continue.
D. Roadway View Clearance - Postponed as David Jacquat was not present.
E. Black Oak Planting Project - About half of the requested sites (15-20) were
planted last Sunday (in the snow). The group will meet again this Sunday at

agenda and Tree-of-the-Year ballots in the Tidings.

17th and meet March 18th with Dave Mason & Richard Whitall to chose
nominations and try an election through the Daily Tidings. Timing will be
close.

will ask for 1000 total trees hoping for many deciduous. Trees will be
given out at all or most of the events.
The Commission expressed gratitude to all involved, especially Arbor Week
Chairperson Nancy Kerr, for all the hard work that has gone into planning these
activities on such short notice.

Brian's support and now feels free to attempt more ambitious tree planting
