CALL TO ORDER
– Commissioner Mike Morris called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m. at the Ashland Civic Center, 1175 E.
Main Street, Ashland, OR.
Commissioners Present: Council Liaison:

Tom Dimitre Planning Commission meetings in order to avoid
John Stromberg conflict of interest.)

PLANNING ACTION #2006-1546
REQUEST FOR A MODIFICATION OF A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED SITE REVIEW AND TREE REMOVAL PERMIT (PA 2005-01674)
FOR A MIXED-USE COMMERCIAL AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT LOCATED AT 11 FIRST ST., WITHIN THE DETAIL SITE
REVIEW ZONE. THE PREVIOUS APPROVAL WAS TO CONSTRUCT A THREE-STORY MIXED-USE BUILDING, TO REMOVE FOUR
TREES SIZED SIX-INCHES DIAMETER AT BREAST HEIGHT AND GREATER. THE MODIFICATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL APPROVAL
ARE TO REDUCE THE BUILDING TO A TWO-STORY MIXED-USE BUILDING, TO MODIFY THE PROPORTIONS OF THE
ARCHITECTURAL DETAILS AND TO CHANGE EXTERIOR BUILDING MATERIALS.

REQUEST FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND SITE REVIEW APPROVAL FOR A TRAVELERS ACCOMMODATION WITH
OWNERS UNIT FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 331 WIGHTMAN ST. THE APPLICATION ALSO INCLUDES A REQUEST FOR
ADMINISTRATIVE VARIANCES TO REDUCE THE FIVE FOOT LANDSCAPE BUFFER BETWEEN ADJACENT RESIDENTIAL USES TO
THREE FEET, AND TO ALLOW PARKING BETWEEN THE STRUCTURE AND THE PUBLIC STREET.
