Present: Mayor W~ley, Counoilmen Applewhite, Blake, Hansen, Ingle,
Wenner. Absent: Counoilman Gregg.
Minutes ot the previous meetings were read and approved as read.
Monthly reJorts tor June of the street, Eleotric, Water and
Library Departments, the City Judge and City Reoorder were read and
~ six months report ot the Polioe Department for the pwriod from Jan.
1 to June 30th incl, acoepted a~ ordered pladed on file.
The City Attorney requested $2.00 to pay tor a building oode book.
Moved by Blake and seoonded by Hansen that the request be approved.
Carried.
Applioations for the tollowing building permits were presented:
Do. 19. To level building and put in new oone..te foundation at
753 Boulevard at an approximate cost of $200.00 by Ila Myers.
No. 20. To repair store after ti~e at 61 N. Main street at an
approximate cost of 1850.00 by F. Jordan tor the O'Hara Grocery.
No. 21. To remodel servioe st~1on at 237 East Main Street at an
approximate cost ot $2000.00 by the Union Oil Company.

The applioation or G. M. Frost tor vaoation leave was read. Moved
by Wenner. sedonded by Blake that the request be granted.
A letter from the Ashland Chamoer of Commeroe urging the City to
request the Stata Highway Commission to repave the highway thru the
City was read. .

The City Attorney read an ordinanoe conoerning the vaoation of
Orange Avenue. Moved by Ingle tha t the rulew be sus :pended and the prdin-
anoe passed to the seoond reading by title only. Seoonded by Blake.
Carried. Having been read the second time by title only, it was moved
by Blake that the ordinanoe be ado:pted as read. Upon a seoond, roll oall
was ordered on 1 ts adoption. The vote heing Ayes 5, Nays o. Thereupon
the Mayor deolared City Ordinanoe No. 947 ado:pted.
The Reoorder requested that an audit of the City books for the
year 1934 be made. No aotion was taken.
On motion, the counoi1 adJourned to meet at the oa11 of the Mayor.
