Water: lIo8~er reported on the taste of the water dur1ng the :past
tew days.
Street: Biegel stated that the bridge back ot Piel's re~ired re-
pairs which would cost about 1150.00. Applewhite repprted that a pro-
Ject had been suggested of opening up the alley in rear of the store.
on Borth :Main Street from Winburn Way to Grani te Street. Moved by Wenner
and .econded by Hansen that the matter be reterred to the Street Com-
mittee and City Attorney tor recommendation. Carriedo
E1eotrio: Biegel stated that the Gas Company had requested a light
be injta~~8d in front of their oftice, which had met his approval pro-
vided the intensity wae not too great. Moved by Wenner that the Gas Co.
be granted this request. provided the pr1T1lege di4 not interfere with
the lighting .~8tem in which oase it would be subJeot to revooation.
Seoonded by Applewhite. Carried~,o.'
Biegel atated that Mrs. Bita Blaok had been reoommended for free
water and Mrs. M. Patterson for free ligh" and water. Moved by Wenner
that the reoommendations be accepted and both be placed on the tree list
to Deo. 81, 1935. Seconded by Blake. Carried.
R8al~ lIansen stated that the aouse on East ],fain Street had been
so 4 and e first payment had been received.
Van Dyke reported on the neet insuranoe polioies submitted by
E. T. Staples a.d G. H. Ye. had been ohecked and he reoommended that
insuranoe tor the trailer be added to the polioies. He stated that at
the present. both polioies were 'the same in prioe. Moved by Hansen that
the insurance be given to Staples. Seoonded by Wenner. Carried.
A resolution ratifying. oonfirming and approving the aotion of the
Counoil in their settlement with Lybrand. ROBS Bros.& ~ntgomery was
read by the City Attorney. Moved by Wenner that the rules be suspended
aad the re801ution be pasBed to the second reading by title only. Second-
ed by Hansen. Carried. RaTing been read the second time by title. it was
moved by WlI%LIler and seoonded by Hansen that the resolution be adopted as
read. Roll call was ordered on its adoption. the vote being, Ayes 4, Iays,
O. Thereupon. the Mayor deolared the resolution adopted.
.A. resolution a uthorizing the :Mayor and Recorder to--,exeoute a peti t10n
on behalt ot the City ot Ashland to the Talent Irrigation Dis~rict for the
exolusion ot land known as the Air Port Property from the Talent Irrigation
Distriot was read by the City Attorney. Moved by Wenner that the rules be
suspended and the resolution be passed to the seoond reading by title only.
Seoonded by Hans.n. Carried. Having been read the seoond tiae by t'~le,
it was moved by Blake that the resolution be adopted as read. Seoonded by
Applewhite. Roll oal1 was ordered. the vote being Ayes 4, Bays O. Thereupon
the Mayor deolared the resolution adopted. . .

Polloe. MOved by Wenner that the appointment be approved. Seoonded by
