Absent: Counoilmen Hansen, Wenner. I[nutes of the previous meetings were read and aooepted as read. MOnthly report of the Dump Ground was read, acoepted and ordered plaoed on file. as was a report from the Cemetery Dep't from Atgo1934 to Aug. 1935 inclusive. Bills amounting to $9728.01 were read as tomtota1 amount only, same having been oked by the Finance Committee. Motion was aade that the bills be allowed and warrants drawn. Roll call was ordered, the vote being Ayes 4, Nays O. Carried. A letter from M. T. Burns asking for a three year rental of all the property lying between Emeriok and Mountain Avenues and between "Bft and East Main was read. MCved by Ingle that the letter be referred to the Realty C~,ittee for reoommendation. Seoonded by Applewhite. Carried. Applioations lor permits to keep fowls in the City Limits were read from Bert Somers on and Chas. S. Jaoobs. Moved by Ingle and seoond- ed by Gregg that the permi ts be granted provided they oomply with the ordinanoe. Carriedo A bill from o. B. Turner for $60.00 for repainting and repairing the roof of the City Hall was presented. Moved by Ingle and seoonded by Blake that the bill be allowed. Roll oa11 was ordered, the vote being Ayes 4, Nays O. Carried. Committee Reports: Fire: Ingle stated that the Fire Chief wanted to attend the Con- vention of Fire Chiefs at Saoramento and made the motion which was seoonded by Applewhite and oarried. the cost was estimated at $30.00. Realty: The subJeot of the heating :plant at the Hospital was discussed and in the absenoe of Hansen was referred to the City Sup't. .....t: Applewhite reported progress on plans for the alley in rear 0:[ the stores on B. :Main from Winburn Way to Granite Street. lAir Port: The City Atttrney reported on the status of negotiations in exoluding the air port land from assessments :trom the Talent Ilirrig- ation Distriot. A letter from Cresoent City oonoerning the building of a Monorail line of transportation from the city to the Rogue River valley was read but no aotion taken until the arrival of Mr. Com~s, Engineer, who was to discuss the matter. ~e City Attorney reported on the sani~ary oonditions at the Kelts property on Alta Avenue. After some disoussnon, it was moved by Applewhite that the matter be reported to the Board of Health for reoommendat'on and Mr. Kelts notified by letter. Seopnded by Blake. Carried. The status of the acoounting system as being done by :Mr. Whiting was disoussed. Moved by Ingle that matter be referred to the Finance Co.- mittee to investigate as to length of time necessary to oomplete the worko Seconded by AppleWhite. Carried.
