The council met in regular Bession at 7:30 P. M. this date.
Present: Mayo: Wiley, Counoilmen Applewhite, Gregg, Hansen, Wemner.
Absent: Counc1lman Blake, Ingle.
The minutes of tre previous meetings were read and approved as read.
Monthly reports of the Park. Library, City Judge, Reoorder, Eleotrio
Light. Water, and Stree~ Departments were read, aooepted and ordered
plaoed on file.
A. bill for a bass drum head presented by the Band Leader was refer-
red to the City Sup't. for report.
Applicafion for the following building permit was pres~nted:
No. 26. To remodel dwelling at an approximate cost of $1000.00 at
600 Boulevard by Nill M. Dodge. Moved by Wenner and seconded by Gregg
that the permit be granted. Carried.
A. letter from the Libr8lrY Board requesting thea.ppoi:rltment of WlrS.
Frell S. Engle as a mEmber of the board in plaoe of l~lrs. stearns was
read. Moved by Wenner and seoonded by Hansen that the appointment be
approved. Carried.

Committee Reports:
Water: Gregg brought up 1~s. Bomar's request for free light and water.
Applewhite sugGested that a check might be made thru County Heliet
offioe as to her oircumstances and ability to pay for same.
street: It was reported that 1~. Yockey wanted to sell a piece of
~and thru which the Gr&nd View Drive right of way lay. On mODion by
Applewhite. seconded by Wenner, the matter was referred to the City
Attorney tor re:r:.ort. Carried.
Three WPA projects were presented, Library, Inventory of tm City and
Street project. Total ma:berial costs abput $1000.00. :Moved by Wenner
that the projects be approved and the Maypr be authorized to sign the
project applications for approximately $1000.00. Seconded by Gregg.
Carried.
Hospital: Mr. Laing was present and stated although the heating engin-
eer reoommended the high pressure barner. that he felt that the spec-
ifioations should be chag<<id to oonsider the low pressure as well in
order to give all a ohanoe to bid. The suggestion was a~J?rovedo
The City Attorney reported on the bridge near Peil's. and stated
that the rights of way in the alley seemed to be ok. He also stated
that the sewa'e disposal progeot needed more data to be suppliei. He
stated that Mr. Kelts had offered $155.00 in settlement of payment on
the Alta Avenue sewer assessment. Moved by Gregg and seoonded by Hansen
that the report be accepted and settlement be made on that basis.
The Reoorder brought up the question of a new stove in the offioe
whioh was referred to the City Sup't. The neoessity fmr hftndlEg, in
budget estimates at the earliest opportunity was again msntionedo
A resolution of appreoiation for the City Band and its leader was
read. MOved by Gregg that the rules be suspended and the resolution
passed to the second reading by title only. Seoonded by Applewhite.
Carried. Having been read the second time"it was moved by Applewhite
that the resolution be adopted as read. Seconded by"-Hansen. Roll oal1
was ordered on its adoption. the vote being. Ayes 4, Nays O. Thereupon
the Mayor deolared the resolution adopted.
On motion. the oounoil adJourned to meet at the oall of the Mayor.
