The oounoil met in regular session at 7:30 P. M. this date. Present:
Mayor Wiley, Councilmen Gregg, Hansen, Ingle, Absent; Councilman Blake.
Annual Reports of the Librarian and City Reoorder were read, accepted
and ordered placed on file.
City ~perintendent Biegel presented a list of old water and light
accounts totaling $1285.86 which he recommended be dropped from the active
accounts and plaoed on the inactive list. 1Ioved by Ingle and seoonded by
Hansen that the recommendation .~ approved. Carried. He also presented
the free list for Water and Light for the period from January 1 to June
30, 1936 for approval. Moved by Gregg and seconded by Hansen that the
list be a.pproved. Carried.
A resolution ftRatifying and confirming agreement of the aity Attorney
on behalf of the City of Ashland with G. H. Billings, et aI, for the
acquirement of a pendanent easement along old easement site.tt was read by
the City Attorney. Moved by Gregg and seoonded by Hansen that the re-
solution be passed to the second reading by ti tle only. Carried. ]'ollow-
ing the second reading by title, it was moved by Ingle that the resolution
be adopted as read. Seconded by Gregg, Hafteeft. Roll oall was ordered on
its adoption, the vote being Ayes; Gregg, Hansen, Ingle. Nays; Rone.
Thereupon the Mayor declared the resolution adopted.
Following some disousaion, it was moved by Gregg and seconded by
Hansen that Dr. Swedenburg be appointed to fill the unexpired three year
term of Applewhite, resigned. Roll call was ordered, the vote being,
Ayes; Gregg, Hansen, Ingle. Hays; None. Carried. It w,s moved by Ingle
and seconded by Gregg that R. E. Koozer be appointed to fill the unexpired
one year term of Wenner, resigned. Roll call was ordered, the vote being,
Ayes; Gregg, Hansen, Ingle. Nays; None. Carried..
Upon motion, the council adJourned to meet at 1,.:30 P. M. Vlednesday,
January 22, 1936. .
