Present: Kayor Wile,. Counoilmen Blake. Gregg. Ingle, Swe4w4burg.
Absent: Councilmen Bansen, Koozer.
!he a1nutes of the prev10us meeting were read and appravec1 as read
Monthly reports ot the City Judge and City Dump Ground Sup1t were ·
rea4, accepted and ordered plaoed on tile.
Bills amounting to ~10,996.79 were read as to total amount only.
some having been oked b1 the v:.uiou.8 departments and Finanoe Committee
and wer9 ordered paid.
The following applications fo~ building permits were presented:
. No. 20. To remodel dwelling at 773 Blvd. at an approximate cost of
$300.00 by wyatt Padgett.
~o. 21. To ereo~ new dwelling at 343 North Main street at an approx-
imate cost of ,3000.00 by G. M. Green.
50,..22. To install a gas pump a.t:52 2nd street at an approximate
cost of $100.00 by o. V. Dav1a.
Moved by Ingle and seconded by Gregg that the permit n be granted.

Fire: Ingle reported further on ~he burning of the walnut tree

It was moyed by Blake and seoonded by Swedenburg that the matter be deter-
red to ano\her meeting pending another report.
Realty: Ingle reporte'd that theX-rfll floor W~8 s1nking and that a
sterilizer was needed at the hospital. Swedenburg mentioned the color of

The Clt, Attorney read a proposed Qontract authorizing the Moon Lum-
ber Co. to sub-1Euise; to the Hazelet W'!rehouee Co. Moved by Sweclenburg,
and seoonded by Ingle that the Mayor and Recorder be authorized to exeau
te the consent to sub-lease. Carr1ed. ~
S~eolal: Ingle reported further on the claw machines for .Tending
-morohandize. The City Attorney reported on h1s nagot18'tion~ tor the pur-
. ehaalng of Ashland Water bonds from tho state of Oregon ana suggested a
tr1p to portland and Sal.. He a180 reported on h1s negotlfit1ons w1 th the
state Acoident Commission in conneot1on with the Sam Presoott 01a1m.

Following some disoussion on the purohasing of the Water Bonds,
it was moved by S~edenburg andseoonded by Gregg that the Ma70r head
a delegation to go north to conter with bond brokers and the state ot
Oregon relative tO~8eouring some o~ these bonds. Carried.
The tinal 10 % reta1ned portion ot the oontraot price with Dunn
and Baker Ino. was presented tor payment 'ota111~ ~'619.?9. It was
.oved bl Swedenburg and seoonded by Gregg that the bill be pald. Carrlej.
In order to make this tlnal payment, pending receipt ot the f1nal
installment from the PWA, it was neoessary to transger $2000 from the
Eleotric to the Sewage Disposal lflnd. Moyed by Blake And seconded b7
Gregg that lhe transfer be approved.. Carried.
On mot1on, the council adJourned to meet at the oall ot the Mayor.
