M. this date. for the purpose of oonsidering a proposal for moving the Ashland Chamber of Commeroe to the Oi ty Hall. Present: }layor Wiley, Counoilmen Gregg, Hansen Koozer, Swedenburg. Absent: Counoilman Blake. Ingle. Van Dyke as President of "he Chamber of Commeroe introduoed the proposal, oiting the advantages and savings that could be Made by the proposed ohange. He oalled upon H. L. Clayoomb and T. L. Q'Harra who also spoke. Clayoomb stated that the neoessary remodelling would oost from $100 to $150 and that he thought that the expense should be borne by the City. Following considerable disoussion dui1ng which there was some opposition to having the City bear the expense of the ohange, it was moved by Koozer and seoonded by Hansen, that the request of the Chamber of Commerce be granted and that the work to be done be submit- ted to bids to be approved by the Council. Roll call was order&d on the motion, the vote being, Ayes: Gregg, Hansen,. Koozer, Swedenburg. Nays: None. The MaYDe thereupon declaring the motion passed.
