Absent: None. ' The minutes of the ~revious meeting were read and approved as read~ Monthly reports of the Dump Ground and Ci ty Judge were read, aooepted and ordered plaoed on file. Bills amounting to $8120.67 were read as to total amount only same having been oked by the various departments and Finance Committee and were ordered paid. A letter from G. H. Billings relative to the stoppage of a sewer lateral at 743 North Main street was read in whioh he asked for a refund ot $5.00 far expenses paid in oonnection with same. Following some dis- cussion, it was moved by Swedenburg and seconded by Koozer that the amount be refunded. Carried. A letter from G. M. Green of the Ashland Tidings relative to advert- ising was read and following some discussion was upon motion by Sweden- burg, seconded by Hansen referred to the Electric Light Committee for study. A letter of appreoiation from the Eubanks family in response to the resolution ado~ted by the City Council following Mr. Eubanks death was read. Committee Reports: Street: Koozer reported tha t he had taken up the ma tter of a light at the railroad crossing on East Main street and had been assured by the Southern Pacifio Company that the mtter would be given prompt attention. Realty: The roo! on the air port house wasxreported completed and upon motion by Koozer, seconded by Hansen, the bil~ for $64.90 from W. B. J ens en for the contrac t was ordered pa id. Ca~ied. L. J. Knox, C. P. A., Medford spoke concerning the contemplated audit and after some disoussion, it was moved by Ingle and seconded by Swedenburg that the matter of' an audit be referred to the Finanoe Com- mittee with power to aot. Carried. . The next order of business was the purohase of a new car and upon motion by Swedenburg, seconded by Koozer, lids were ordered opened. The following were the bids reoeived: Leever Motor Co. for Standard Plymmuth 4 door sedan Less trade in on old car $832.50 385.00 447 . 60 =i 833.25 400.00 4~~.25 869.90 375.00 494.90 All bids inaluded tttll equipment as prescribed by the Police De- :p-artmen t . 1= The bid of the Leever Motor Co. specified that same was subject to a reduotion for Federal Tax mr a minimum of $15.00 making their bid $432.50 and the low bid. and it was moved by Ingle and seconded by Koozer that the bid on the Plymouth.be acc~ted.
