The counoil met in regular session at 7:30 P. M. this date.
Present: )(ayor Wiley, Councilman App},nhi te, Blake, Ingle, Koozer,
Swedenburg~ Absent: Councilman Hansen. &:
l Konthly reports tor January ot the Fire, Electrio, street,Water
Departments and Librarian aha City Recorder were read, 'acoepted and
ordered plaoed on tile. Also the annual report ot the Ci ty Reoorder tor
1936. The Park Board report was received and tiled. ,
A bill tram Frank J. Van Dyke tor travelling expenses to' Salem in
oennectio~ with legislative matters in the amount at $18.50 was upon
motion b1 Ingle, seoonded by Blake approved. Carried.
Appli'ation tor Building Perlllit No.2 to erect a new house on the
corner at Fern and Mountain Avenue at an approximate cost ot $2500.00
by Dr. C. A. Haines was presented and upen motion by Koezer. seconded
by Blake was appreved subject to' bUilding regulations. Carried.
Louis Dadge, President ot the Ashland Park Commissian was present
and spoke requesting the City ot Ashland donate several hundred teet ot
used p~pe tar material tar a proJeot. Following some'discussian it was
deoided. to' make i t as a loan on the bas is ot $300.00 valua tion and upon
metien by Ingle, seoonded by Koozer the request at the Park Commission'
was granted and the tixing ot a drain in the road above the Park was
reterred to' the proper committee. Roll call was ordered on the motion
the vote being, Ayes: Blake, Ingl8;' Swedenburg, Koozer, A,pplewhite. Nays:
None. Carried.
The resignation ot G. M. Frost as superintendent ot the oemeteries
was read anel upon motien by Ingle, seconded Blake was acoepted a114 a Tote

Mr. v. Zboralak1 was present and addressed the -counoil on the
subJeot of .'8tematic garbage collection. There was some discussion
anI it was decided to give the subJeot further stull before taking
any action.
